It’s a Blog ! Not a Log !

Well got another email from some of my friends in Nigeria letting me know once again that I could be in for a nice windfall of money, this time however no-ones died and left it to me, something I’m quite happy about as it’s not nice toreceive money because someones died.

So if no-ones died where’s the money come from, well it appears that some   was destined to be paid to me as part of a contract award was in a bank for a long time and it acquired a hefty amount of interest while it was in there and the nice Bank Manager thinks that I should get it as he thought it unfair that Ididn’t get the contract, so he’s decided to give it to me, isn’t that sweet.

Anyway heres his nice letter in its entirity, notice the excellent grammer and construction of the letter, its hard to believe that English is his first language . .

Oh how these Nigerians make me laugh with there promises of money, why should I a rich westerner need such money when the street over here are paved with

Just seen on Twitter that a Turkish Airliner has crashed at Schipol Airport in Amsterdam, beleive its a Turkish Airlines plane carrying at least 135 people, I’m presently following Nipp a user on Twitters, he’s twittering about it as it happens, you can follow his updates here http://www.twitter.com/nipp .

From what he’s twittering it looks like it could be a very bad crash indeed, BBC are just picking up on it now so there may be more details on there website.

Just got back from walking Blue, then onto Orlando’s for a all day breakfast, closely followed by a beer at The Nook, what more could a man and his dog wish for on a Saturday afternoon

Went and checked out Davyhulmes Millenium Nature Reserve at the weekend with Blue our Cane Corso, the whole site covers about 8 hectares of land along side about 3/4 mile of the west bank of Manchesters Ship Canal , the reserve is a mixed landscape of wetland, woods, water features & open land.

You can do everything from bird watching, walking, cycling there as well as having a traditional picnic on one of the benchs provided.

The site is owned and maintained by United Utilities and part of it is a designated Site of Biological Importance.

Discovered at the weekend that theres a place in Chorlton that sells everything PieMinister, so whats PieMinister you ask well click on the word and you’ll be whisked away to a place where PIE rulz, a place of wonder, somewhere that knows what pies are all about.

By now you should have seen the wonders that are PIE! and will no doubt want to visit Chorltons very own PIE! establishment Pi Chorlton , it seems a very friendly place to sit and eat your PIE! and has many beers to wash them down with, but be warned don’t overdo your PIE! unless you wish to be a little bit fatter then me

Who might be coming back I hear you scream . . .

Well the MD might be coming back early from his holidays, seems a member of his family has unluckily broken thier leg in 2 places, which is pretty bad really, but it means he may be calling his holiday short and returning to work, so its also unlucky for us, we were looking forward to a week without him, its a sort of holiday for us as well.

Thinking about it though he’ll probably rebook and take the holiday again in the near future so we still might be lucky enough to have some time without him.

In other news I seem to be increasing my Twitter following, I’ve now got 12 followers who have subscribed to my Twitterings, this is an increase of 9 since last week, been chatting to a few of them online, seems this is another way to meet new friends from around the world, you should give it a go, other thing thats good about it is the amount of links that people twitter, I’ve come across news and websites I don’t think I’d have heard or found of myself.

Enough said, back to bed now

So we’re back from the soul night at Orlando’s which was a very enjoyable evening indeed, big up to Tony the DJ and his delectable co-hort Katie, but a bigger up to Rupert for a superb evening indeed

Just found an option in Tweetdeck which allows me to search for specific word’s/strings in Twitter posts, thus say I type Manchester into the search facility, anytime someone posts a Twitter with the word Manchester in it, I get a notification and then I just look to see whats been Twittered.

Due to this I now know that some woman has been stood atop the Ibis/Urbis building in Manchester ranting and raving and threatening to throw herself off the roof, I’ve also learnt that some of the crowd gathered below were openly encouraging her to do it (thats Northern folk for you, just do it and don’t bother us).

Also found a few new Cane Corso owners after running a search string with that as the words, I’m now getting to understand why people actually use Twitter and can become addicted to it . .
