It’s a Blog ! Not a Log !

thats our Battle cry . . . well ok not so much a battle cry, but a Facebook group I’ve started, just thought I’d try and gather all of the Elgey’s on Facebook togeather under one Banner, so if your reading this and your an Elgey why not come join us you can find us here “Elgey’s of the World Unite” .

I sort of started it as a bit of a fun/joke group, not expecting anyone to actually join it, but so far 16 Facebookers called Elgey have taken up the call and joined the group, they’ve even brought others with them, so slowly but surely the group grows bigger.    Looking at the areas the members come from it seems that at the moment Elgey is a very Northern name with lots of the groups members coming from Yorkshire and the County Durham areas of the UK, it also looks like some of the people have actually started to find family connections.

I’ve just sent out my 2nd wave of invites on Facebook to some more Elgey’s I’ve found on there and hoping that they also take up the offer and come join the extended family, maybe find some more family connections along the way , it’ll also make it a little bit easier researching the family tree, when I actually get my finger out and start doing it again.
