marathon and am now heading to Imperial War Museum North, back later with photos and stuff

in Manchester after picking me mum up, looking forward to spending the weekend with her, might even visit the German Market

gt in my car and drive across to my mothers to bring her across to Manchester so we can spend the day at the Imperial War Museum North looking at the Captured exibition.

Why the captured exibition ?

Well my mum was a civilian internee of the Japanese from the day after Singapore fell to the VJ day, so this exibition will be of great interest to my mum and may even have exihibits from camps she was interned in.

Anyway got to shoot if I want to get across there and back before it gets to late.

tonight turning the centre of Manchester in a multi-coloured German wonderland with its traditional chalets serving all those Christmas gifts your after, ok maybe not the ones your actually after, but theres bound to be something there your after.

And if you cant find anything to buy as a present theres always the Mulled wine and extra large sausages to keep you happy, more details can be found here

and all I’ve done is take Blue for 2 walks round Chorlton and chilled the rest of the weekend away, though I have spent about 4hrs geotagging alot of my flickr photo’s, so now at least people can see where they were taken, also started to make a few sets out of our Cornwall and Dorset holiday photo’s as they were a bit messy to be honest.

Also watched the movies Moon and Pandorum, the Moon is well worth seeing, but Pandorum’s just a basic SciFi scarer, nothing special, also got hold of District 9 which I hope to get around to watching sometime tomorrow evening, look pretty good and the reviews I’ve heard of it seem to agree, anyway work in the morrow so sorry its a crappy post, but its been a quiet weekend.

Well due to a schoolboy error last weekend whereby I set up a sub-domain with a fresh install of Wordpress on it for testing purposes, I inadvertantly forgot to change the installs database record’s prefix’s I accidently overwrote my It’s a Blog ! Not a Log ! wordpress install, leaving me with a very empty blog as I’m sure you’ll all attest to.

Anyway Namesco have now done a restore of the database and the website to a state a couple of hours before the error and I can now return to blogging and hopefully in the future I won’t make the same mistake . . Doh !

So whats been happening in the week we’ve been away :

1. I’ve spent hours trying to get the site back up

2. I’ve been ill with flu and had 2 days off work.

3. A mate who stayed at the weekend has been diagnosed with Swine Flu

4. I’ve got a new battery for my Beamer (£79.99)

5. I’ve had some good news at work (will tell more in the future)

6. I’ve installed Windows 7 on my lovely Dell Laptop

7. I’ve been in the Trafford Metro ( a full blog post to follow at some point)

8. I’ve now watched Series 1,2 & 3 of Cold Cases and am presently up to Episode 2 of Series 4 and am quite hooked now.

Quite an eventful week so far . . .
