Kenny reached the grand old age of 50 last week along with Andy reaching the 40 mark, so they had a joint party to celebrate and used the oppurtunity to get everyone back togeather again.

It was good to see all the faces from the partys togeather again having a laugh and just generally getting on, party kicked off at of all places Stretford Cricket Club, then moved onto Lisa’s flat, where drinks flowed and people talked bollox (mainly due to what they’d had).

We left fairly early on in the morning 5:00am so maybe not so early, but the party carried on after we left, ending only when John, Ben and a few others decided to place most of Lisa food stuffs in the freezer . . . oh and after Ben had emptied a full bag of flour over the sleeping Lisa’s head (not nice Ben).

Gotta say Kenny was looking good for an old man and no doubt has many years left in him, all the best Kenny and Andy

Its party night tonight, heading round to Nikki and Andy’s for Nikki’s b-day party, just waiting for Liam and Steve to get here and then we’ll be off, not seen a few people for a while so should be a laugh, can’t stay to long tonight though as got things to do tomorrow that can’t be avoided.

Well it started at the Green Windmill, where we enjoyed a few good bands and a few good drinks, saw Zoe and her partner, whose name I never did quite here the first time I met him, blame it on the loud music, so my apolgies for not knowing your name, anyway when we left the Green Windmill the night was still quite young so after a few times being a taxi I got everyone back to Bernies and were all here now, the roll call so far is :

Bernie, Amanda, Debbie,Nicola, Stacy, Lisa, Cath,Liam, Damian, Kev, Andy, Paul,Steve,Phil, Jon,Mel and Me.

Think it might turn into a bit of a mad one, shame Ben, John, Sophie and Ash are’nt here, but its not to be, saddens me a bit does that, Niki and Andy are’nt here either or Kenny again a bit of a shame, but theres always next time.

Not seen Kev and Andy since Blackpool, good to see the pair of them, really good lads the pair of them, was’nt to sure of Kev when I first met him a couple of years ago, but then again we were both a bit fucked to be honest, but think Kev and Andy are top lads, invited them out for our lads night out in Nov while Mel’s away the cats will play.

Leslie and Tim were out with us, but they decided not to come back with us, Leslie’s had a shit week, shame as it would have been nice again to have everyone here, so what is it about us lot when we get togeather, were mad for it as they say, were more then mad for it I think, we enjoy it to much to be mad for it, I’ve managed to rest control of the music so we’re listening to a bit of dance music which everyone seems to be getting into, well I hope they are anyway, if not tough shit I’m the dj for the night so fcuk em all

So does Bernie look any older for being 43 well her tits seem closer to the floor, but thats about it, shes still the same excitable Bernie that we all love and hold dear, and we would’nt want or have her any other way . . .

Happy Birthday Bernie may many birthdays follow and may all of them be in the company of friends and to those who are’nt here I’m thinking of you all and your here in spirit if nothing else.

Well its nearly 3:00am here and while I’m typing this the party’s going on around me and I now need to say bye for now and go mingle and mix.

Its seems that I won’t be going out this weekend to have a belated birthday drink with the boys, as a number of them have dropped out for various reasons :

Ash can’t make it cause he’s broke

John Fiddy can’t make it because Ben threw him of a set of garden steps for a laugh and now John’s laid up with a bad back and is unlikely to be available for any party’s for the next couple of weeks.

So at the moment I’ve just got Liam, Kenny, Andy and possibly Ben who are up for a Saturday night round Chorlton, but that’s about it, so I’m going to have to postpone until either Ash gets some cash or John gets better.

It always seems to happen to me, didn’t get a party last year either, but hey there’s always next year.

In other news the cat’s got back from his holidays so all the mice at work have had to start working quietly in case he hears them and there’s no more playing around either

Also just been looking at another festival for the Summer, its called BeatHerder and is just outside Manchester, tickets are only £55 for 3 days in July 4th-5th-6th, so there’s definitely a possibility it might not rain.

As for the line-up a few to many for me to type here, but well worth checking out, not just for the bands but also for the sound systems in attendance, I can particularly recommend the Stumblefunk Sound System, who will be there again this year

Well tonight it was Purple Radio night North and gotta say was a little nervous before we got there and was a little bit unsure how to get chatting to everyone, but eventually got into the swing of it.

Nikki, Andy, John, Steve and Me and Mel went to enjoy the sounds of Creedy and the rest of them, got to meet Boo, Hoods, Sketchy, Home Farm Girl, Viviene, Mr and Mrs Black, Marky and a few other forumites for the first time and gotta say all of them real real nice people and look forward to the next time they do a night and it better be soon or else.

Well I had a plant on my desk today, it was left by Andy a colleague who’s left the place I work at, he left for some one like me to nurture and watch grow, so what better place to put it then on my desk like he had it on his  . . .

That was the plan anyway . . but alas it was not to be as no sooner had my MD returned from his holidays he asked what that triffid was doing on my desk, so I explained that Andy had left it and that if nobody else wanted it I was going to have it, well he soon put me right and let me know that he did’nt want it on my desk and that I should put it in the foyer . . now hold on a minute how come everyone else who has plants can put them on there desk’s but I ca’nt and wait another minute, but was’nt this plant and its plant pot Andy’s and not his, so why was he telling me where to put it.

Anyway I’ve decided I’m going to take it home with me this week and nurture it at home instead.

So now I can add to my list things of I’m not allowed at “work plants on my desk”, this now joins fresh coffee, wonder what will be next, maybe it’ll be that photo I have of my dog Blue. .

God I love working here its great you just never know whats going to be disallowed next . .

Well Nikki after asaulting my ears for the past couple of weekends about not having posted up any picture fo the past few weekends, I’ve finally got around to it . .  so check out the flickr page to see them all, more will be added once I’ve managed to get hold of Mel’s camera.

Now onto other things . .  Lisa’s flat warming party was a fairly good affair, nearly everyone turned up, though Liam could’nt make it due to work commitments, which was a pity, Kenny showed his face for a while then sneaked off before anyone could pull a fast one on him, Cath did the same at some point and so did Andy in the early hours, I myself snuck off to get some much needed sleep and returned later to pick Mel up.

Steve, Ash, John and Ben were up to there usual antics, this time round it was water filled ballons, luckily the target seemed to be the girls this time.

Think this will be the last time I’m out for a while what with being broke now, but hey theres always next month . .

One of our friends Lisa has just got herself a flat in Stretford, so tonight is house/flat warming party night, should be an interesting night I reckon, seeing as she’s only a couple of hundred feet from Amanda’s and Andy and Nikki’s place, so there will be at least 3 possible places we might all end up at.

So let the night begin

That has been the question for the past couple of week’s anyway, just not been arsed to tell the world anything really, suppose I’ve just been recovering from the Christmas period of the year . . plus not much has happened, well except for the Orb gig the other week and Nikki’s birthday last weekend.

So best tell you about those 2 events . .

The Orb gig

Well was a little disappointed in this as was expecting alot more people to be there, which would have given it a bit more of an atmosphere, plus might have been nicer if Mr Patterson had been on the decks for a little bit longer, they had a DJ on before him and one after him who seemed to get more of a set between them then he did, I’d have thought as he was the guest for the evening he would have been given a little bit longer to play . . but alas he was’nt

Though for the time he was given he did a good job of entertaining the crowd that were there, plus he was a nice enough chap to have a chatter with the crowd afterwards, something DJ’s don’t do anymore in my opinion.

Anyway the night’s made me investigate his music once again and I’m presently surprised by what I’m finding out there. so well done Mr Patterson for bringin me back into the fold.

Nikki’s birthday

Well this little shindig took place at Ben’s parents house in Kirkby, which is always a highlight as we get to indulge ourselves in his parents hot tub, those attending were the usual suspects, though Andy could’nt make due to feeling a little ill, Liam and Nicola were also absent, but the evening was still a splendid affair.

Most of my evening was spent in the Hot Tub lording it up with Ash and big John, while the rest of the group opted for Ben’s log cabin at the bottom of the garden, plenty was drunk, plenty was said and little sleep was had by anyone, eventually people started to head off home around 9 in the morning to do there own little things, me Mel and John headed back to ours then onto the Water Park to take Blue for a walk, after that we just chilled watching movies until the early hours.

So that was that for the month of January, but much happened apart from the above and tending to think Feb will be the same, just all depends on the money situation I suppose, just have to wait and see, until then ta ta for now
