Kenny reached the grand old age of 50 last week along with Andy reaching the 40 mark, so they had a joint party to celebrate and used the oppurtunity to get everyone back togeather again.
It was good to see all the faces from the partys togeather again having a laugh and just generally getting on, party kicked off at of all places Stretford Cricket Club, then moved onto Lisa’s flat, where drinks flowed and people talked bollox (mainly due to what they’d had).
We left fairly early on in the morning 5:00am so maybe not so early, but the party carried on after we left, ending only when John, Ben and a few others decided to place most of Lisa food stuffs in the freezer . . . oh and after Ben had emptied a full bag of flour over the sleeping Lisa’s head (not nice Ben).
Gotta say Kenny was looking good for an old man and no doubt has many years left in him, all the best Kenny and Andy

Did’nt really post to much over the weekend as I spent quite alot of it in bed, due to being called out to an alarm call at my workplace, was there from midnight Friday till 5:30am Saturday morning, so spent quite a while in bed recovering.
So seeing as most of Saturday was spent in bed thought we#d better do something on Sunday, was’nt sure what to do or where to go, but in the end we decided on Chelford Car boot.
Got there for about 12:30 and spent a good hour or so just wondering round looking for bargain’s but think we missed most of them, so just ended up buying lots of quaility cheeses instead, more about those in another post.
After leaving we thought we’d best take Blue for a walk and on the way back we chanced upon Styal Estate a rather good dog walking place, we’d heard about it before but never actually bothered to go look for it, really wish we had cause its definatly a dog friendly walk, lost of paths and fields for Blue to galavant in, I’ll stick some photo & videos up this weekend so you can see for yourselfs.
Anyway its close to 8:00am and I’d better start making my way to work, cyas laters

Went and checked out Davyhulmes Millenium Nature Reserve at the weekend with Blue our Cane Corso, the whole site covers about 8 hectares of land along side about 3/4 mile of the west bank of Manchesters Ship Canal , the reserve is a mixed landscape of wetland, woods, water features & open land.
You can do everything from bird watching, walking, cycling there as well as having a traditional picnic on one of the benchs provided.
The site is owned and maintained by United Utilities and part of it is a designated Site of Biological Importance.

Just uploaded a few pictures to flickr of our Cane Corso Blue, not the best pictures in the word, slightly blurred to be honest, but I think they certainly capture some of who she is and why we love her so much

Well this is all that remains of Bernie’s caravan and her daughters boyfriend Johnny’s car after somebody decided to torch it in the early hours of Sunday morning.
No idea who’s done it and the Police don’t appear to be all that interested in the situation, they’ve just told her that it’s her responsibility to have the remains removed as there a health hazard due to all the toxin’s that were released when the caravan was alight, so as well as losing the caravan, Bernie’s then got to find £150 to get the thing removed, don’t know what Johnny’s going to do with his car as yet, guessing his insurrance company will come and take that away at some point, the only good thing to come out of the whole incident is that thankfully no one was hurt.

wondering round the lovely Chorlton Water Park, where we came across these carvings.
The carvings are situated down by the waters edge as you first walk into the Water Park, there located on a rather large communal bench that stretches about 20ft along the side of the path, guessing the carvings were based on drawings by local school kids (thats how these things usually work anyway), then local craftsman have carved the out of wood and used this wood to make up the backs for the communal bench, theres also carvings on the other side of the wood that represent a mural to do with the theme of Chorlton Water Park, hopefully I’ll photograph these the next time we are there and share them with you all.
Anyway after taking Blue round the park and exploring other areas of it we headed for our usual drinking spot Orlando’s for a quick brunch and then home.

So we’re back from the Big Chill Festival, and boy what a festival it was.
We arrived about 8:30pm Thursday night after detouring to Bristol to see a mate, so was pretty late compared to previous years, anywa after setting up camp we headed up to the Body & Soul area of the festival where there was a forum meet on the go, by the time we got up there we were pretty much soaked to the skin as it had started raining shortly after we arrived, did’nt stay there long as we were throughly knackered and wanted to get some sleep so we could enjoy Friday nights shinnanigans.
Come Friday morning we were up and at em, spent most of the day just wondering around the many stages, tents stalls that make up the Big Chill, enjoyed sampling all the foods that were on offer as well, it was sometime around then that I donned the Dangermouse mask and gloves, this was to be one of the enjoyable moments of the festival, as no sooner had I put the kit on then I was mobbed by people wanting there picture taken with Dangermouse, dead funny walking around and constantly hearing people scream “DANGERMOUSE”, also had a lot of fun asking randoms if they knew where I could score some quality cheese’s as I only had Cottage cheese and that did’nt give the buzz I wanted
Anyway I’ll continue the rest of the Big Chill weekend in the next post as I’m still recovering to be honest.
