Kenny reached the grand old age of 50 last week along with Andy reaching the 40 mark, so they had a joint party to celebrate and used the oppurtunity to get everyone back togeather again.

It was good to see all the faces from the partys togeather again having a laugh and just generally getting on, party kicked off at of all places Stretford Cricket Club, then moved onto Lisa’s flat, where drinks flowed and people talked bollox (mainly due to what they’d had).

We left fairly early on in the morning 5:00am so maybe not so early, but the party carried on after we left, ending only when John, Ben and a few others decided to place most of Lisa food stuffs in the freezer . . . oh and after Ben had emptied a full bag of flour over the sleeping Lisa’s head (not nice Ben).

Gotta say Kenny was looking good for an old man and no doubt has many years left in him, all the best Kenny and Andy

Well what can I say except that the Unabombers End of Year Riot at Electriks at Legends was a belter of a night . .  the venue the DJ’s, the music and most of all the people were fantastic, not had a night out as much fun as that in god knows how many years . . .  has definitely set me up for tonight’s NYE party at Electriks Bar.

I took a few picture of the night and am still in the process of uploading them to flickr, should hopefully have them all uploaded later on today, so keep checking back, didn’t get any video footage as it was way to dark in there to film.

Highlights of my night apart from the music and the people were the lovely Gemma who I know from going to Electriks Bar was recognizing me and asking where Blue was and some absolutely bolloxed up guy ambling across to me, grabbing me by the hand, shaking it profoundly and saying he was very upset that my Essential Mix on Radio 1 hadn’t been voted the top mix of the decade . . .  looking a little bemused I asked him who he thought I was . .  apparently according to him he thought I was Brandon Block . .  made me laugh . .

Anyway the night was a right good laugh, met some really nice people, who I shall hopefully bump into again at some point . ., guessing the same will happen tonight.

Went out for the night in Chorlton with John, Myles and Sarah, was a good night until some scally mate who I’d spent the previous 30 mintues having a chat to and had a laugh with, he seemed ok,  got on fine with him and his mate, left them to go have ciggy out front of the bar, came in for a piss walked passed them both and gave them a tap on the back to acknowledge them and say what a good night we’d had and hoped they were having a good night, next thing I’m having a piss when suddenly i get a fist in the back of the head and turn round and its this scally punching me, because i’d apparently touched his arse, being the big man he bitch slapped me from behind, was’nt really hurt, just more in shock then anything

His mate was sound though just dragged him out of the bar, though next time I hope he has the decency to hit me face on rather then sucker punch me from behind

Oh what a glorious 4 days off work I’ve had . . .

Friday Night was spent in Chorlton drinking Sambuccas and Brandy, sperately of course

Saturday day I ventured out about 2pm after the self-induced hangover had run its course and was I glad when it eventually subsided.

Sunday spent with my lady and a few friends round our house just chatting and having a laugh.

Monday slept in took Blue to Chorlton Water Park, had lunch and beers in the sun then home for an early night.

Did’nt do very much to be honest just had a relaxing 4 days

Wish every weekend was the same length of time and just as sunny as it was this weekend.

Well got another email from some of my friends in Nigeria letting me know once again that I could be in for a nice windfall of money, this time however no-ones died and left it to me, something I’m quite happy about as it’s not nice toreceive money because someones died.

So if no-ones died where’s the money come from, well it appears that some   was destined to be paid to me as part of a contract award was in a bank for a long time and it acquired a hefty amount of interest while it was in there and the nice Bank Manager thinks that I should get it as he thought it unfair that Ididn’t get the contract, so he’s decided to give it to me, isn’t that sweet.

Anyway heres his nice letter in its entirity, notice the excellent grammer and construction of the letter, its hard to believe that English is his first language . .

Oh how these Nigerians make me laugh with there promises of money, why should I a rich westerner need such money when the street over here are paved with

Its party night tonight, heading round to Nikki and Andy’s for Nikki’s b-day party, just waiting for Liam and Steve to get here and then we’ll be off, not seen a few people for a while so should be a laugh, can’t stay to long tonight though as got things to do tomorrow that can’t be avoided.

I’m having a lads night tonight with a couple of mates, one being Tony from work, but this depends on whether or not he can get some parts for his car or not, at the moment it’s looking like he can, but we won’t know for definite until later today when his mate texts him. Ideally the plan is that we get pissed and see what happens, simple enough plan I think you’ll agree, its just going to be about 4-5 of us having a laugh and taking the piss out of each other for the evening and maybe at the same time righting a few wrongs in the world. Will probably post more when I know exactly what we’re going to be doing.

Update:
Tony’s just informed me he can’t make it now, which is a bit of a downer as was looking forward to having a beer with him, not really been out for a beer with him and considering we’ve been working together now for about 4-6yrs that’s quite weird, but he has assured me he will try and join us on our next lads night out round Chorlton, which at the moment is looking at being around the 1^st Nov (a Saturday night), it’s about a month off so he’ll have no excuses for this one and apparently he’s looking forward to meeting Ash . . . he don’t know what he’s letting himself in for if you ask me . .

Its seems that I won’t be going out this weekend to have a belated birthday drink with the boys, as a number of them have dropped out for various reasons :

John Fiddy can’t make it because Ben threw him of a set of garden steps for a laugh and now John’s laid up with a bad back and is unlikely to be available for any party’s for the next couple of weeks.

So at the moment I’ve just got Liam, Kenny, Andy and possibly Ben who are up for a Saturday night round Chorlton, but that’s about it, so I’m going to have to postpone until either Ash gets some cash or John gets better.

It always seems to happen to me, didn’t get a party last year either, but hey there’s always next year.

In other news the cat’s got back from his holidays so all the mice at work have had to start working quietly in case he hears them and there’s no more playing around either

Also just been looking at another festival for the Summer, its called BeatHerder and is just outside Manchester, tickets are only £55 for 3 days in July 4th-5th-6th, so there’s definitely a possibility it might not rain.

As for the line-up a few to many for me to type here, but well worth checking out, not just for the bands but also for the sound systems in attendance, I can particularly recommend the Stumblefunk Sound System, who will be there again this year

Here’s some photo’s from Mels girl’s night at Amanda’s.

Looks like they had plenty to drink and had a bit of a laugh, I popped round at one point, but left fairly quickly as could’nt deal with all the cackling and screeching coming from the 3 witches on the sofa (don’t mean it girls Honest ! ).

Today at work I was informed that along with the paper work I’ve put togeather detailing internet usage, I’m probably going to get asked to start monitoring joke email usage, i.e. I’m supposed to monitor all emails that may/may not contain jokes, funny images, video’s etc.

How cosidering that our company recieves large quantity’s of emails that contain images, powerpoint presentations, word documents, exel spreadsheets and the odd occasionaly video file, so someone explain to me how I’m going to stop joke emails, seeing as most joke emails are either Images or are contained within word documents, exel spreadsheets, ok I can maybe stop the video files as the company does’nt really get those for any business purposes, but to stop the rest I’ll have to bloke every single email that comes into the company and then vet them indivually. . . .

Sometime you’ve just got to laugh, this person has now told her staff that apparently this persons son, who works at a computer shop has told this person how to access our mail server and allow this person to view all emails and this person’s counted all the joke one’s and there were 35 yesterday bouncing round and this person’s not happy about it . .

Now hold on a minute, I don’t remember telling this person the passwords for the mail server or showing this person how to connect to it, so I hardly think I’ve shown this person’s son either . .what a load fo crock, so this person’s son who does’nt even work for the company and has never been on the company premises let alone touched a company PC now’s more about our system then I do . . . makes me laugh, there are better uses of time then wasting it, chasing up people who send jokey emails, how about actual work . .
